Thanks to funding from
Community Food & Health Scotland, we have been able to develop a
Healthy Eating for Teenagers programme. This was developed with the help
of a group of young people from Forth in late 2009. It will be rolled out to
groups of young people in 2010.

Aim
To provide young people with the
skills and knowledge to make healthy eating choices now and in the future.
Objectives
Be able to prepare and cook healthy
meals
Understand health guidelines relating to healthy eating ie recommended
limits
Make informed choices about the food they eat
Apply food hygiene practices and store, prepare and cook food safely
Understand food labelling and make informed choices
Try new foods and enjoy eating healthily
View healthy eating as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and
understand how it impacts on health and wellbeing in general.
